Well, April is behind us along with Spring Breaks, Easter holidays and white chocolate Reese's Easter eggs.  This is the time of the year when I actually wish I had more kids - with more Easter baskets.  I know everyone has been busy and County Council is no exception.  It's budget time again and things are moving fast.  As I have stated many times, I am extremely encouraged at the willingness (so far) of my fellow council members to ask the tough questions this time around.  Our desire to cut the budget and get lean is strong and I see some council members really willing to take a stand and say "No" instead of "Oh, well".  Please take note when the votes are taken as to who stood up for us as taxpayers and let them hear your voice.

Some of the things we did this month were highly publicized so many of you may have some questions.  I'll try to touch on those things here but if you'd like to get more detailed information about what went on this month, please go to my facebook page or my website. In this article I will try to summarize and also clear up some of the misinformation going around.

Parks and Recreation

The 'big news' this month is our decision to put the Parks and Recreation Department (P&R) under the direct supervision of the county administrator.  Now that I've said what it is, let me explain what it is not.....
